Dr. Ort
Dr. Ort was born and raised in Silverton, Oregon, where he graduated from Silverton High School in 2002. He received his undergraduate degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, where he graduated with a BS in Exercise Science and excelled on the football field. By the end of his football career, he was named Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a free safety and earned 1st team All-American honors. Dr. Ort was a member of Linfield’s 2004 National Championship team. Dr. Ort fondly remembers at his time at Linfield, especially being part of a very special team.
When asked about this his experience with football and chiropractic medicine, Dr. Ort says, “I have no doubt that chiropractic care kept me on the football field and helped me to perform at a high level.”
Following graduation, Dr. Ort returned to Silverton High School as a football coach and assistant PE teacher. He was also involved in the Silver Falls Young Life ministry.
After a year of rejuvenation and reflection, Dr. Ort began his graduation studies at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. While attending Parker, he the received the opportunity to represent Parker College for a term abroad in Mexico City, Mexico. While abroad, Dr. Ort treated numerous patients with variety of illnesses, as well as, learned a variety of different chiropractic adjustment techniques.
“It was an amazing experience and I felt extremely blessed to be part of it,” Dr. Ort said of the opportunity.
Dr. Ort loves being a family man. He is married to his beautiful wife, Danyelle and has two wonderful daughters. During his free time, he enjoys being in the great outdoors and experiencing everything that Oregon has to offer.
